In this program the secretariat aspires to ensure that staff and students in member institutions acquire important ICT tools to enable them to access teaching and learning material. Therefore, the secretariat negotiates with several suppliers to establish academic prices for ICT resources such as laptops and tablets.
Note: This program doesn’t include resources (such as servers, routers, switches, etc) used by institutions. This is for personal tools (such as laptops, hard drives, tablets, etc) used by individual students and staff. TERNET is not involved in the acquisition process, but students and staff purchase direct from the suppliers.
