Call for innovators and exhibitors

CONCEPT NOTE FOR INNOVATION EXHIBITION

INTRODUCTION

The innovation exhibition to be held alongside the international conference on Higher Education and Research Institutions (HERIs) digital transformation is important part of raising awareness of the existence of technological innovations as well as marketing the innovations to the target audience. They serve as an influential platform for HERIs, professionals, industry experts, and students to come together and share information that will contribute towards digital transformation of HERIs in Tanzania.

OBJECTIVES OF THE EXHIBITIONS

1. To provide an informal and interactive environment for academia and industry sector to showcase cutting edge innovations towards HERIs digital transformation.
2. To provide platform for networking among stakeholders at the conference.
3. To provide opportunity for junior innovators to be recognized and rewarded.

METHODOLOGY

The conference Sponsorship Committee will issue “Call for Exhibition Proposals” which will allow interested exhibitors to submit their proposal for exhibition. There will be two exhibitors’ categories: Organizations and Solo. The Organizations category will include all higher education and research institutions as well as industry partners who want a booth for exhibition for their innovations that supports higher education and research digital transformation. Solo category will include individual innovators (professional and students) who will be given individual booths for exhibition for their innovations that supports higher education and research digital transformation.  

VENUE AND CAPACITY

The exhibitions will be held at the conference venue, White Sands Hotel and Beach Resort, Dar es Salaam. The area where the booths will be located will depend on the allocation by the hotel.

We expect to have 25 booths for exhibitions, of which 10 will be for Organizations category, 10 for Solo-Professional category and 5 for Solo-students category.

Fees for each category will be charged as follows:
