With our members, now decentralized in different campus locations and with national and international collaborations, there is always a need to reduce meeting costs and therefore the need for video conferencing facilities. We have explored different options and referred to other neighboring NRENs experiences.

ZOOM is a video conferencing system designed on the web structures that allow users to meet online with or without video. Currently, TERNET offers a minimum of 20 Zoom licenses to the education community at a price of $25 per account. TERNET members will benefit from collective bargain when they procure the service from TERNET directly than if they opt to procure the service directly from Zoom. ZOOM provides several great features such as follows;

  13. Cloud recording transcription (English only for now)
  14. Usage reports to track participation
