This training followed a sequel of customized workshops on network monitoring and management resulted from frequent challenges in restoring networks and systems after an aftermath of a catastrophe faced by network and system engineers. It was already identified in the earlier programs that behind this challenge, many system or network engineers lack capacity and skills to perform beyond normal ICT operations. Realizing this, National Institute of Transport (NIT) requested a customized training for their system. The program was held from third to 7 February at NIT Mabibo.
The training covered five major areas, which were as follows
The training was aimed to equip the team with capacity and skills to configure, monitor and manage their network and systems as they evolve. Afterwards it will enable the NIT team to understand their network very well and be capable to restore it after a catastrophe. The training was successful as the trainers were able to perform after being tested on their skills gained.
